Plein Air Painting in Acrylic for Children Ages 3-12 with Debra Joyce Dawson, AIS

Rose Run Park Natural Trail Play Area

Friday, June 9, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Debra Joyce Dawson is a member of the American Impressionist Society, as well as a founder of Ohio Plein Air Society. She is a seasoned plein air painter who loves working with children to help them discover the joy of painting outdoors.

“Children are the best artists. At a young age they just need a little guidance with the materials at hand, and then you let them paint and ask questions.”

Last year, children aged 2 to 11 worked on one 16×20″ canvas. This year, your child will be working on their own 11×14″ painting to take home.

Provided: stretched canvas, paints, rags, plastic plate palette, brushes. Each child will also receive a free sketchbook.
You Bring: clothes that can get dirty, a spray bottle filled with water.
